Cairo condemns missile attacks on Jordan, calls for regional de-escalation

Egypt on Wednesday condemned missile attacks targeting Jordan and called for an immediate halt to the escalation, as Egyptian officials stepped up regional contacts aimed at preventing a wider confrontation. The Foreign Ministry said Egypt strongly condemned the attacks on Jordanian territory and expressed full solidarity with Amman in confronting threats to its security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Cairo called for an immediate end to the attacks, restraint and greater reliance on diplomatic channels, warning that further escalation could push the region towards greater instability.
