Tree friends hope to make more tree friends in western Latvia campaign

In Kurzeme, local authority representatives, arborists and other interested parties are being taught to recognise the habitats of protected species in historic tree-lined avenues and parks.

This is one of the public education initiatives taking place as part of the Latvian-Lithuanian cross-border project ‘Green Guardians’, Latvian Radio reported on October 27.
